About Matteo Marziano Graziano

MATTEO MARZIANO GRAZIANO is a director & choreographer.

He works both for film and video as well as for the stage, choreographing contemporary dance productions, opera and music theatre, including experimental and participatory formats along with architectural and site-specific interventions.

Alone or in collaboration with like-minded artists, MMG develops theatrical and filmic concepts for heterogenous performance situations and genres. His stagings are said to be “complex and polymorphic”. They thematise existential questions and offer the spectator opportunities for self-reflection and expansion of their own awareness and consciousness.

Whether theatre, video or experimental spatial performances: behind this aesthetic pluralism lies a long research within the field of subtle energies and their perception and manifestation. Graziano has been practicing and researching within family constellations, pre-Christian energy tradition, alchemy and quantum physics for more than 10 years. This knowledge flows into his artistic work. Among his sources of inspiration are 20th century utopian literature, sacred music, and mystical writings.
