AGORA

AGORA is a nomadic project around Mediterranean identity. It involves artists born and raised in Southern Europe, Northern Africa, and Middle East. It is conceived as a body-based collective practice, centred around a sense of belonging to the Mediterranean.

AGORA looks at the Mediterranean body as an archive, to access information on Mediterranean identity. This information is lying dormant and has been concealed and misinterpreted through layers of historical, socio-political, and religious ruptures which fragmented the perception of Mediterranean identity. AGORA uses the body as a potent incredible medium to evoke, retrieve, and regain such information.
